It is an added advantage if a team has good batsman at the end of an inning in the Indian Premier League. There are batsmen, who have all the shots in their batting arsenal to dictate terms in the end. They form an integral part of their respective franchises as heavy score in the death overs could change the complexion of any game. Here are the five batsmen, who have tasted lot of success in the last phase of the inning. 
  
AB de Villiers
The South African ODI captain has become the best batsman of Indian Premier League in the last few seasons. He can hit any bowler for regular boundaries as his innovative strokes are enough to defuse the firepower of any bowling unit. He is surely an asset for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Kieron Pollard
He has helped Mumbai Indians on numerous occasions when it comes to scoring in the death overs. The right hand batsman has scored heavily while batting first while he has been part of several big chases too. His has attained perfection in hitting big sixes at the end of an inning. Pollard is a treat to watch when it comes to power hitting in the last few overs.



David Miller
He is known as Killer Miller in the Indian Premier League due to his brand of batting. The left hand batsman from South Africa is a death over specialist and is famous for hitting long sixes with minimum effort. Kings XI Punjab has won several games because of his late charge in the league.

James Faulkner
You need 20 runs off last 6 balls; James Faulkner is the right man to do the job. He is a finisher irrespective of the formats and has done commendable job for Rajasthan Royals in the cash rich league. He is unstoppable on his day and can hit bowlers for regular boundaries.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni 
The Indian captain in the shorter formats has carved a niche for himself in the Indian Premier League. MS Dhoni is the tormentor Kings in the league and his presence at the crease is enough to create panic among the rivals. He has been fantastic for Chennai Super Kings since the inception of the league. He is famous for playing helicopter shot in the last phase of a game and if it comes through, the ball land in the stands.
